Teresa gets number of voluntary helps from all over the world. Young men and
women who spend a school or college vacation doing something for the destitute
instead of just laying about. But last
week’s visitor was someone who has himself become a crusader in his own right .
Trevor Farrell is only 13. But for two years now he has spent most of her spare
time from school, providing food, clothing blankets and comfort to he poor and
the homeless of his home town , Philadelphia.
Moved be the
spontaneous, selfless compassion of a child adults rallied round with help in
the from of cash, kind and service, leading to the foundation of a charitable
organization of a called Trevor’s Campaign. They have collected enough funds to
buy a 33-room house which will be converted into a shelter.
Trevor had
visited Mother Teresa earlier as well. And he helped her giving infections and
medicines, and bathe the poor. The experience left the youngster immensely moved.
It probably also gave him the inner strength to continue with the hollow,
emaciated face of poverty. The nun gave him sensible advice. You can’t save
everyone but think about it in terms of one person at a time.
